Italian Cookery Course

Italian Mediterranean Cookery Course

Groups are never larger than 12 students participating to ensure its hands-on
Courses at Casa Ombuto run from Saturday to Saturday and
Courses at Torre del Tartufo run from Sunday to Sunday.

First Day

Arrival Florence airport - we can arrange transfer to and from Florence airport on request.
Check-in at the villa from 16:00.
Welcoming dinner and introduction given by the chef and a chance to get to know each other.


Second Day

Breakfast is served at the villa and a light lunch at around 13:00 for those who are not sightseeing.
Hands-on cooking lesson starts around 15:00 you prepare a four course meal.

For dinner you will dine on your creations accompanied by a delicious Tuscan wines to compliment the dishes.


Third Day

A buffet Breakfast is served and you have time to relax or do some sight seeing or enjoy the pool or take a walk.
A light lunch is served around 13:00.
Hands-on cooking lesson starts around 15:00 you prepare a four course meal. For dinner you will dine on your creations.


Fourth Day

After Breakfast there is full day excursion with visits to a Pecorino and Goat cheese farm, Wine estate for wine tasting and lunch, Olive oil mill and oil tasing, city visit to Arezzo for shopping and sightseeing and before dinne a visit to a Tuscan textile manufacturer in Anhiari. Then you will all dine back at the villa fter a wonderful day!


Fifth Day

Breakfast is followed by a morning at leisure.
After lunch hands-on cooking lesson starts around 15:00 you prepare a four course dinner.
For dinner you will dine on your creations accompanied by the finest Tuscan wines.


Sixth Day

After breakfast you have the day for yourselves, to do some sightseeing or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
An ideal day to make a trip to Florence for shopping and sight seeing as it's only a 50km drive away.
Or visit La Verna an ancient monastery where San Francisco de Assisi lived most of his life.
You can of course stay at the villas and relax at the pool or take a dip in the Hot Tub.
Dinner reservations can be made at a restaurant of your choice.


Seventh Day

Breakfast is followed by a morning at leisure and for those interested we have a light lunch ready at 13:00.
Hands on cooking lesson starts at 15:00 and you prepare an elaborate buffet dinner covering all the cooking techniques you have learnt in the week and many more.
Presentation of food will also be demonstrated. At the grand finale dinner you will be presented with a certificate of attendance.

Courses at Casa Ombuto run from Saturday to Saturday

First Day

Second Day

Breakfast is served in Casa Ombuto and you are free until after lunch. A lunch is served 13:00 for those guests who are present.
Hands-on cooking lesson starts around 15:00 you prepare a four course Italian dinner. For dinner you will dine on your creations accompanied by the finest Tuscan wines.


Third Day

Breakfast in Casa Ombuto.
At around 10:30 a hands-on breads and pastry cooking lesson of around two and a half hours. A light lunch together and then time to relax. Hands-on cooking lesson starts around 15:00 you prepare an elaborate French four course dinner. For dinner you will dine on your creations.


Fourth Day

After Breakfastthere is full day excursion with visits to a Pecorino and Goat cheese farm, Wine estate for wine tasting and lunch, Olive oil mill and oil tasting, city visit to Arezzo for shopping and sightseeing, and before dinner a visit to a Tuscan textile manufacturer in Anghiari. At around 10:30 a hands-on cookery course in preparation of a Spanish lunch for two hours.
After having lunch together you have time off until around 15:00. Then you prepare a three course Moroccan dinner together with several side dishes. For dinner you will dine on your exotic creations.

After breakfast you have the day for yourselves, to do some sightseeing or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
